My favorite location on campus is...

... Behrend Fields. When the weather is nice, my freshman year roommate and I go for walks around campus, usually at Behrend Fields. It may just be a big open field, but it is incredibly peaceful and good spot to relax.

I chose Penn State Behrend...

... because of the staff and faculty. I had applied pretty late in the college application process because of previous plans falling through. I met with one of Behrend's admissions counselors and later with financial aid upon applying. They were incredibly kind and helpful. After coming on campus, I found that most everyone who works here is the same. The professors are fantastic, and the staff are genuinely some of the kindest people I have met. The scenery was also a contributing factor to my decision: campus is beautiful!

Advice I would give to incoming students is...

... to get outside of your comfort zone! Join clubs and organizations that are new to you, talk to people, take classes that are outside of your usual interests. College is a place to figure out who you are and stepping outside your normal is, in my experience, the best way to do that.

My most memorable Behrend experience...

... Lion Ambassador induction. It was the first group that I joined on campus. The meeting was incredibly fun. I met so many new people and it set me on the path I am on now in terms of what I do on campus. It was the first step I took to get myself out of my comfort zone and the people I met that night have done nothing but support me in continuing to do that!
