was Welcome Week when I got to help out freshman students move into their dorm rooms on Move-In Day. It was so exciting and energizing, waking up in the morning and cheering for and inviting new students to campus after a rough year of COVID and remote learning. I was excited to meet people and serve as guidance for the new students since it always teaches me something new and definitely makes me happy -- I loved every moment of it.
PLEASE do not stress about getting into a specific college and SATs and all the external pressure you can get from the people around you. Senior year of high school is a time to enjoy yourself and spending your last high school memories with the community you grew up in. As long as you try your best, you do not have to worry about getting into a certain college or getting a certain score. Colleges see you for you, so try to relax amidst this admissions process. I was in your shoes once and I had tremendous pressure from my school, my peers and my parents, but it all felt pointless in the end. You will make it as long as you put the effort in. You got this!!!
the Admissions office. No doubt. Sure, I work there as a Lion Scout and help out whenever necessary, but the people that work there are the absolute best and my favorite people on campus. They are inviting and kind and make Behrend feel exactly like home. A great support system for any and all students.
for the Early Acceptance Program I was offered via LECOM. Behrend was not my number one school (without LECOM in mind) and I wished to go to a school with a bigger campus, but I did not realize that Behrend was the perfect place for my extroverted nature. Behrend is big enough to get to know most of the people or familiarize with them (which is great for extroverts like me), but it is also small enough to be an introvert and keep to yourself if you would like. It was an extremely friendly and inviting environment plus the small class sizes was an added benefit! I had professors repeated over the years and I loved that they got to see me grow here throughout these years and were able to help me the best they could knowing my learning style.
